Directions

The Nature Reserve, situated at about twenty kilometers from Bologna, is easily accessible from Bologna, Sasso Marconi, Pianoro, and Monzuno along charming roads developing in the hills.

From Bologna you can follow the Savena valley bottom road up to Pian di Macina, and then road SP 58 leading to Badolo.

A more panoramic alternative is the road reaching Badolo after touching Sabbiuno and Pieve del Pino. From Pianoro you can reach Brento, at the foot of Mt. Adone, or follow the road SP 65 Futa until you reach Livergnano. From Sasso Marconi, via Ganzole reaches Prati di Mugnano and then enters SP 58 towards Badolo.

SP Val di Zena runs along the easternmost section of the Nature Reserve.

If you come from farther, the exit Sasso Marconi of Highway A1 is less than one kilometer far from the entrance of the road to Badolo.
